- Cuisine: Mexican

- Language: en

## Ingredients

- oil
- onions
- 1 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon seasoning

## Instructions

1. Turn the fire to medium-low heat and heat the oil in the pot.
2. Once the oil is heated, throw in the onions and mix them around.
3. Brown the onions slightly.
4. Toss in the rice with the onions and mix them so the rice can brown as well. Make sure it doesn't burn.
5. Once the rice is brown, add two tablespoons of tomato paste.
6. Pour in the water, being careful because it will steam a bit.
7. Mix it up good, but don't stir it hard.
8. Add the tomatoes.
9. Add a little over a tablespoon of seasoning.
10. Mix the seasoning in with the rest of the ingredients.
11. Put a lid on it.
12. Turn the fire down and let it cook for about 24 minutes.
13. Turn the fire off and let it sit with the lid on for at least 5 minutes.
14. When the five minutes are over, take the lid off and mix up the rice, getting all the tomato, onion, and flavor out from the sides, and mix it all together.
