# Homemade Candied Pecans

## Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 lb pecan halves

## Instructions

1. Combine sugar, dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and whisk to mix. Set aside.
2. In a separate large bowl, combine egg whites, vanilla extract, and water. Use an electric mixer to beat until stiff peaks form.
3. Add the pecan halves to the egg white mixture and stir to coat thoroughly.
4. Add the sugar mixture to the pecans and mix until evenly coated.
5. Spread the pecan mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6. Bake in a 300 degree oven, stirring every 15 minutes.
