# Homemade Peach Ring Gummies

You can turn fresh peaches into homemade gummy peach rings with just five ingredients.

- Cuisine: American
- Category: Drink
- Language: en

## Ingredients

- 180 g fresh or frozen yellow peaches
- 14 g unflavored powdered gelatin
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp honey or agave
- 1.5 tsp tart cherry concentrate
- sugar
- citric acid

## Instructions

1. Start by pureeing and then straining fresh peaches.
2. Add the peach puree to a saucepan with your favorite sweetener, like honey, agave, or maple syrup.
3. Combine freshly squeezed lemon juice and gelatin in a separate bowl. Typically, water is used, but lemon juice enhances the peach flavor.
4. Add the gelatin mixture to the heated peach mixture and stir until it's dissolved.
5. Divide the mixture in half and add cherry juice concentrate to one half.
6. Use two droppers to fill the molds with both colors for that characteristic peach ring look.
7. Refrigerate for an hour and a half to set.
8. Remove from the molds and place on a wire rack to dry out overnight at room temperature.
9. Enjoy them plain or coat them in a mixture of sugar and citric acid for a sour treat.

## Equipment

- blender
- fine mesh sieve
- small saucepan
- droppers
- peach ring molds
- wire rack
- small bowl

## Tips

- The key is to let them dry out overnight at room temperature so they actually have a gummy chewy texture.
- These contain so much less sugar than most store-bought peach rings, and the real fruit flavor really comes across.
- Don't bring the peach mixture to a boil, which will denature the gelatin.
