## Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 0.33 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

## Instructions

1. Melt down the butter in a pot.
2. When the butter has completely melted, add in the brown sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix it up until it's all combined.
3. Now add in the light corn syrup and mix it up.
4. Now mix in the sweetened condensed milk, a little bit at a time.
5. Now add in the dark chocolate chips and keep mixing until the chocolate has completely melted and mixed in.
6. Add a candy thermometer because you want to reach 245 degrees Fahrenheit, which is a firm ball stage. So just continuously mix this up and cook it until it reaches a firm ball stage.
7. Remove the caramel from the heat.
8. Mix in the vanilla.
9. Now carefully pour it into a 9x9 inch square pan.
10. Allow it to cool and then cut it up.
11. Once the caramel has cooled enough, just remove it from the pan and cut it up to the size you like.
12. Make strips of caramel.
13. Then cut them into bite-sized portions, as big or as little as you like.
14. Take a piece of wax paper, put your candy in the center, wrap it up, and twist it up.
