# French Onion Pasta

## Ingredients

- 1 tbsp butter
- onions
- salt
- pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp flour
- 3 cups beef broth
- 3 cups pasta
- 1.5 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup Gruyere cheese
- crushed red peppers
- parsley
- parmesan

## Instructions

1. Add 1 tbsp of butter to the pan.
2. Caramelize onions until brown.
3. Add 1 tbsp of garlic and 1 tsp of thyme.
4. Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 tsp balsamic vinegar.
5. Add 1 tbsp flour and mix.
6. Add 3 cups of beef broth and 3 cups of pasta.
7. Cook on medium heat covered for 10-15 min.
8. Add 1 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup Gruyere cheese.
9. Top with crushed red peppers, parsley, and parmesan.
