# Classic Teriyaki Chicken

A classic bowl of air-fried teriyaki chicken served with jasmine rice, blanched broccoli, and cucumber salad.

## Ingredients

- chicken thigh, bone-in, skin-on
- soy sauce
- rice vinegar
- garlic, minced
- red pepper flake
- sesame oil
- white pepper
- honey (optional)
- starch slurry

## Instructions

1. Carefully separate the bone from the chicken meat, keeping the skin intact.
2. Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, red pepper flake, sesame oil, and white pepper to make the marinade.
3. Add a couple tablespoons of the marinade to the chicken thighs and set aside.
4. Add honey to the leftover marinade for the glaze.
5. Place the chicken with the skin side facing down in the air fryer and air fry.
6. Flip the chicken and continue to air fry.
7. Pour the teriyaki glaze into a saucepan and let it reduce for a few minutes, then add in a starch slurry to thicken.
8. Brush the glaze over the chicken thighs and plate over jasmine rice with blanched broccoli and a cucumber salad.
