## Equipment

- large bowl
- wooden spoon
- biscuit cutter
- cookie sheet
- parchment paper

## Tips

- Do not over-mix or knead the dough; mix just until it comes together.
- If making your own self-rising flour, combine 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp salt.
- Feel free to mix in cheese or chives to the dough.
- If you don't have a biscuit cutter, you can cut the dough into squares.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator; warm them up in the microwave or covered in foil in the oven.
- Unbaked biscuits can be frozen on a baking sheet, then transferred to a freezer bag for up to four months.
