# Brownies w/chocolate Icing

These brownies remind me of school cafeteria brownies. I find them to be better the following day.

## Ingredients

- 1 cup Sugar
- 0.5 cup Butter (melted)
- 0.25 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- 0.5 tsp Vanilla
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1.5 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder

## Instructions

1. In a large bowl, add 1 cup of sugar.
2. Add 1/2 a cup of melted butter that you've cooled back down.
3. Mix it up until combined.
4. Next, add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder.
5. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla.
6. Mix it up until combined.
7. Add 2 whole eggs.
8. Mix it up. You're only going to mix in a little bit until it's all combined.
9. Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
10. Mix it up until everything is fully combined.
11. Pour brownie batter evenly into a lightly greased brownie pan and spread it evenly.
12. Bake the brownies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Check them at 20 minutes because everybody's oven is different.
13. Remove the brownies from the oven and set them aside to cool.
14. To make chocolate icing, add 2 tablespoons of softened butter to a bowl.
15. Add 1/2 a teaspoon of vanilla.
16. Add 2 tablespoons of whole milk.
17. Add a pinch of salt.
18. Sift in 1 and a 1/2 cups of powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder.
19. Mix it up until it's all smooth. Maybe use a bigger bowl.
20. Pour the icing over the warm brownies.
21. Evenly spread the icing out.
22. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them.
23. Cut the brownies into squares.

## Equipment

- large bowl
- whisk
- brownie pan
- spatula
- sifter
- knife

## Tips

- You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips, but plain regular brownies are also delicious.
- When making the chocolate icing, don't worry about lumps of butter because you're going to put the icing on the brownies while it's still warm, and the butter will just kind of melt down.
