# Five Guys Cajun Fries

## Ingredients

- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- cayenne pepper (optional)
- 3 whole idaho potato
- oil for frying

## Instructions

1. Combine all seasoning ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
2. Peel the potatoes.
3. Slice the potatoes into thin spears.
4. Submerge the potato spears in a bowl of water to remove excess starch; repeat until the water remains clear.
5. Transfer the potatoes to a paper towel and pat them dry.
6. Heat oil to 350 degrees and fry the potatoes in batches until lightly golden.
7. Redunk the fries in the hot oil for a second round of frying until they are dark and golden brown.
8. Toss the hot fries with the cajun spice mix until evenly coated.
