## Ingredients

- 9 ounces lasagna noodles
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef (90% lean)
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 16 ounces cottage cheese (4%)
- 1.5 cups tomato sauce
- 0.75 cup mozzarella cheese

## Instructions

1. Prepare the lasagna noodles according to package instructions to cook al dente.
2. Drizzle the cooked lasagna noodles with olive oil while hot to prevent sticking.
3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.
4. Cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small crumbles, for 5 to 7 minutes.
5. Season the beef with basil, garlic powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
6. Continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, then set aside to cool.
7. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
8. Add cottage cheese and tomato sauce to a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth, about 60 seconds.
9. Season the blended mixture with a generous pinch of salt.
10. Transfer half of the cottage cheese mixture to a separate bowl and set aside.
11. Add the cooked and cooled ground beef (leaving out any oil) to a mixing bowl with the remaining half of the cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of mozzarella.
12. Mix to combine the beef, cottage cheese, and mozzarella.
13. Place a lasagna sheet flat on a 9x13 baking dish and add about 3 tablespoons of the beef and cottage cheese mixture to the end.
14. Carefully roll up the lasagna sheet tightly and push it to the end of the baking dish.
15. Continue this process until you have 12 roll-ups (two rows of 6).
16. Top the roll-ups with the reserved cottage cheese and sauce mixture, spreading it to cover all roll-ups.
17. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella evenly on top.
18. Place in the oven and bake for 7 minutes to melt the cheese.
19. Turn to high broil until bubbling and brown on top, 3 to 4 minutes.
20. Cool for about 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
