## Ingredients

- 1.75 cups warm water
- 2.5 tsp active dry yeast
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp melted butter or oil

## Instructions

1. Start by adding warm water and dry yeast to a large mixing bowl and mix well. Leave it to set for a couple of minutes to ensure the yeast is active and alive.
2. Add in the flour and salt and mix until it becomes a shaggy dough. You can use a Danish whisk, your hands, or a spatula to do this.
3. Once your bread dough comes together into a shaggy ball, cover it with some plastic wrap or a tea towel and leave it to prove until it has doubled in size.
4. Once the dough has noticeable large bubbles and has noticeably grown in volume, take a fork or damp hands and gently knock some of the gases out that have built up.
5. Start to bring the dough together into a ball.
6. Drizzle over some melted butter.
7. Shape the dough into a loaf, pop it in a buttered loaf tin, cover it again, and leave it until it has risen all the way to the top of the loaf tin.
8. Preheat your oven to about 190 degrees Celsius and then pop the loaf in the oven for about 40 minutes.
9. Remove your sandwich bread from the loaf tin and let it cool on a wire rack until it is completely at room temperature.
