## Ingredients

- 2 smoked bones
- 2 cups soaked red beans
- celery

- garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- Slap Ya Mama seasoning
- red pepper flakes
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
- warm tap water

## Instructions

1. Add two small smoked bones to the Crock-Pot.
2. Add two cups of soaked red beans to the Crock-Pot. The beans have been soaked for over 5 hours.
3. Add celery, onion, garlic, and two bay leaves to the pot.
4. Add Slap Ya Mama seasoning to taste.
5. Add red pepper flakes, sparingly as the Slap Ya Mama is spicy.

## Equipment

- Crock-Pot
- chopping board
- knife
- measuring cups
- spoons

## Tips

- Soak the beans for over 5 hours before cooking.
- Do not add too many red pepper flakes, as Slap Ya Mama is already spicy.
- Add enough water to cover the ingredients, but not too much to avoid mushy beans.
- The ham hock/smoked bones will add saltiness, so no additional salt is needed.
