## Ingredients

- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 medium onions
- 1 medium carrots
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 100 ml heavy cream
- 50 g pecorino romano
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg yolk

## Instructions

1. Get some ground beef in a pan, season with salt and pepper, and break it up into little pieces.
2. Add in onions, grated carrots, minced garlic, tomato paste, flour, soy sauce, ketchup, and white wine vinegar.
3. Pour in water, add rosemary, thyme, and allspice.
4. Let this simmer covered on a medium heat for about 10 minutes, then add in frozen peas and cook for five more minutes.
5. For the mashed potatoes, boil some potatoes until they're knife tender, then mash them up.
6. Add in melted butter, heavy cream, pecorino romano, dried parsley, garlic powder, and egg yolk.
7. Whip that all together until it's nice and smooth and then just assemble in an oven safe baking dish, starting with a layer of the beef on the bottom and the creamy potato gets piped on top.
8. Use a fork to create these crackled edges which helps to get crispy.
9. Top with black pepper, more pecorino romano.
10. Bake for about 20 minutes and enjoy.
