# Copycat Cavender's Greek Seasoning

A salt-free homemade version of the popular Greek seasoning blend, suitable for use on chicken, steak, potatoes, fish, or eggs.

## Ingredients

- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp coarse black pepper
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp msg (optional)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
- 1/2 tsp dried marjoram
- small pinch sugar
- small pinch ground nutmeg
- small pinch ground cinnamon

## Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients until evenly combined.
2. Pulse 5 to 8 times in a spice grinder for the closest canister texture.
3. Store in an airtight glass jar.

## Tips

- If you don't want MSG, leave it out; it still works but it won't be exactly the same.
- Use this with lemon juice and olive oil at cooking time for the most familiar Greek seasoning flavor.
- Use 16g per 1 lb of meat or vegetables and add salt separately at cook time.
