# Swamp Dogs

Flavor-packed hot dogs marinated in a mix of Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and Cajun seasoning, then charred and served with tender, saucy onions.

## Ingredients

- 8 whole hot dogs
- 2 whole small onion
- 1/2 cup italian dressing
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)

## Instructions

1. Score the hot dogs diagonally using a knife and add them to a sealable plastic bag.
2. Roughly chop the onions and add them to the bag.
3. Add the Italian dressing, Worcestershire sauce, and Cajun seasoning to the bag, seal, and shake to mix.
4. Refrigerate for a day or two.
5. Remove the hot dogs from the bag and place them in a preheated cast iron skillet or on a griddle to char.
6. Add the marinated onions from the bag to the skillet with the hot dogs.
7. Continue to cook until the onions are soft and tender.
8. Add optional ketchup and mustard to the onion mixture in the pan and stir to incorporate.
9. Serve the hot dogs in buns topped with the saucy onion mixture.
