# Smothered Pork Steaks & Cabbage

## Ingredients

- several pork steak
- seasoning, house blend
- cabbage, sliced
- worcestershire sauce
- russet potato, sliced
- packet lipton soup mix
- packet beef stew mix
- 2 cup beef broth
- mazola oil (optional)

## Instructions

1. Season the pork steaks and sear them in a hot skillet for about 2 minutes on each side.
2. Remove the pork steaks from the pan.
3. Layer the sliced cabbage in the bottom of the skillet, drizzle with Worcestershire sauce, and add a little bit of seasoning.
4. Place the pork steaks back in the skillet on top of the cabbage.
5. Add a layer of sliced russet potatoes over the pork.
6. Mix the Lipton soup mix, beef stew mix, and beef broth in a mixing bowl until well combined.
7. Pour the broth mixture over everything in the skillet.
8. Cover the skillet with foil or a lid and bake in a 350°F oven for an hour and a half.

## Tips

- If you do not have a cast iron skillet with a lid, you can use a Crockpot and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.
- Optionally add a splash of Mazola oil to the cabbage.
- Serve with a side of cornbread.
