## Ingredients

- Evergreen sprigs

2. Fill the jar to the top with either 5% distilled white vinegar, 50%+ (100 proof+) vodka, or 70%+ isopropyl alcohol.
3. Put a lid on the jar, lining it with parchment paper first if using vinegar and a metal lid.
4. Label the jar with the date and its contents.
5. Place the jar in a cool, dry, dark place for 4 weeks.
6. Shake the jar daily.
7. After 4 weeks, strain and bottle the liquid and compost the plant parts.

## Equipment

- glass jar
- lid
- parchment paper
- strainer

## Tips

- Test on an inconspicuous area first when spraying on fabric, as it may stain depending on what you use.
- You can spray this concentrate on surfaces at full strength or dilute it with equal parts water if you prefer.
- The liquid solvent needs to be strong enough to preserve the extract; too dilute and it will go bad quickly.
- This method is safer and more "natural" than dropping highly concentrated essential oils into water or vinegar, which does not safely dilute them (only oil and everclear can dilute essential oils).
